According to the KC Star –Home prices in the Kansas City area firmed up in October,providing good news for a still sluggish housing market.
The average price for new and existing homes in the region was $160,478 in October,up 2 percent from October 2009,according to the Kansas City Regional Association of Realtors. Johnson and Platte counties recorded the best results,the association said.
The average new-home price in October was $305,197,up 11 percent from October 2009,the association said. The best-performing markets were Johnson and Wyandotte counties on the Kansas side and Clay and Ray counties in Missouri,the association noted. You may Read More here.
